The Crowncap page started exactly on August 14, 1997.
It was my very first attempt of putting a website on the Net.
The website was a plain and simple html page with some crown pictures and crown info.

The Crowncap Page was not the first crown website to appear on the Net.
The Beer Cap Page by Algis Kibirstis of Canada was the first crown website to appear on the Net back in 1996.
The Crowncap Page appeared a year later on August 14, 1997.

Different technologies and methodoligies have been used to make this website run.
This website uses a framework that I built myself from scratch.
The basis for this framework was laid down when I built the CCSI website.
Later on I used that framework for The Crowncap Page and made some small changes to fit the needs of The Crowncap Page.
That same framework has also been used for Crowncaps.Info.
Recently I cleaned up my code and scripts and got rid of much of the procedural functions and removed all obsolete code.
Most of the website now uses the methodology of OOP.
My website I test at home on my laptop using Apache as my webserver.
If you are a crown collector that uses PHP, please feel free to ask for any examples of code that is used on this website.
